Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina.
